We welcome new patients of all ages at Outshine Family Dental in Covington, Mandeville and Hammond, LA. Here is what to expect at your first visit and what to bring.
What to expect at your first visit
1. Check in
Arrive about 10 minutes early. We will confirm your contact details and insurance and answer any questions.
2. Health history
We review your medical history and medications so your care is safe and fits your needs.
3. Exam and X-rays
Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite. We take X-rays when they are needed.
4. Your plan
We talk through what we found, your options and the cost before any treatment starts.
What to bring
- A photo ID
- Your dental insurance card, if you have one
- A list of the medications you take
Insurance
Call your office before your visit and we will check your dental benefits. See patient resources.
No insurance
Ask about our in-house membership plan. Sunbit lets you pay over time.
Office hours
Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, at all three offices
